Quick Start Guide
We strongly suggest you follow the steps below very carefully. Once you have successfully listed your first item you will have very little adding any additional items. Click on the Yard Sale tab
At the top of the Yard Sale product listings section click on My Account
In the Vendor Center (sellers) we will be working with only the My Files and My Products areas for now. 1) My Files is for uploading your product pictures and documents. Select the appropriate Folder, either Document (for PDF files - Specifications, manuals, etc) or Image (for jpg files - pictures, graphics, etc.) Now click on Upload and browse on your computer for the image file to be uploaded.
Once you have uploaded an image for each item you MUST click on the Synchronize to server link. This step is critical and must be done or your pictures will not be displayed on you listing.
2) My Products is for adding and managing your listings. After clicking on the My Products link click on the +Add Products link to add a new product. You will now be on a window containing product related tabs. Basic, Categories, Tags, Summary and Description. Basic Tab On the Basic tab you will enter the Name of your item. Think of this as you would the heading of a classified ad in a newspaper. Next you will select the image (picture) you uploaded earlier in the process (the My Files instructions). You will normally select the Image as the folder and then the image file for this product. Purchase Price: - this is the price you are asking Enable Promo Price: - leave unchecked for now Promo price: - leave blank for now Promo Start and End - Leave blank for now Stock Quantity: - How many of this item do you have for sale? Low Threshold: leave at -1 for now Active: Once you have completed entering all of the item information and it is ready to be listed check the Active Box. Your item will not appear on the Yard Sale until you have checked the Active box. Publish Date: - This is the date you want the item to be posted. This is handy if you are going to be out of town or on vacation. You can start the posting automatically on the date you return home. Expire Date: - This is the date the posting will automatically go Inactive. Contact(*): - The name of the person a buyer will contact about the item. Phone(*): - This is the phone number of the person to be contacted about the item. Make sure you click on Update at the bottom of the page. Categories Tab Click only on as many categories as appropriate. Tags Leave blank for now Summary This is your classified ad as you would see it in a newspaper Description Leave blank for now. This may be slightly advanced for many. Again, remember to click on update when you are finished. Return to My Products You will now see rows and columns containing your items. The two columns on the right is where we will now focus. Action Column Pencil icon - click this to edit your item The 2-pages icon - Click this to copy this item as a new item. If you are posting something similar use this as your starting point for the new item. The single page icon - Thsi will toggle your item as Active / Inactive The Red X - This will delete your item Related Column The Note icon - this is for adding any attached documents such as specifications, drawings, original invoices, manuals, etc. These are the ones to uploaded earlier. The center icon - This is for editing product options. Normally not used for this type of application. The jpg icon - This is for adding and editing related images. This is to be used if you have additional photos of your item. This is useful for showing the interior or engine compartment of an automobile. Always remember to click on Update.
